One of the strongest indications of a healthy democracy is the practice of free speech and a free press. Conversely, the squelching of free speech and a free press are classic signs of a dictatorship.
Donald Trump has just revoked the credentials of The Washington Post ("Trump revoking paper's credentials," June 14). This follows on the revocation of credentials for BuzzFeed, Politico, The Daily Beast and The Huffington Post. More are sure to follow as our free press refuses (or should refuse) to bow to the will and whim of this developing dictator.
