Please thank Theodore Venetoulis on my behalf for that excellent, insightful comparison of Donald Trump to Joseph McCarthy ("Trump: McCarthy 2.0," June 4). I suppose, as then, that many Americans are deeply afraid of the changes occurring in the world and are trying to ease their fears through Mr. Trump's bombast.
