As I watch America squirm thinking Donald Trump could be our next president I can't help but ask how we got here. I believe he is a direct result of a continual assault by liberals and progressives on the America our parents and grandparents inherited.
Hard work, patriotism and community have been replaced by government handouts, America bashing and a "me-first" mentality.
If we would just accept the challenge John f. Kennedy uttered — "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" — the candidates for our next commander-in-chief would be more acceptable. In other words, we reap what we sow.
The world is watching as we destroy the greatest country known to mankind. As an American I am concerned for the future of our children and grandchildren.
