I applaud your editorial "Trump's Last Straw" (Oct. 8). Donald Trump is by any measure unfit to be president.
He is an embarrassment to this country and an affront to integrity and decency everywhere. He admits molesting women. He inherited his money and made more by letting many smaller business people, investors and banks take the losses for his bad business decisions.
On paper, he took huge losses to avoid income taxes for years. He uses the court system — 3,500 times in 30 years — to get out of paying for goods and services, knowing he can pay a lawyer longer than the little guy.
An author, accountant, casino manager and TV staff he has worked with all say he knew nothing about the details. He only wanted to gossip, set employees against each other and talk lewdly.
Trump University materials were plagiarized and students did not get what they paid for. He cheated publicly on his first wife and said that after a woman has a baby or reaches the age of 35, he is no longer attracted to them.
He talked lecherously on Howard Stern's radio show about his own daughter's body, and how he was proud to go to Vietnam for a beauty pageant as opposed to being drafted by the military, which he dodged. He preferred to risk STDs rather than PTSD. His military motto was: "Booty, Honor, Country." He then had the gall to say former Navy pilot Sen. John McCain was a loser for being captured.
Mr. Trump has a calculating, two-tiered value system of winners and losers. Winners like him follow different rules. As for the losers, well that's natural selection or else the cost of doing business with him.
His charitable foundation makes questionable gifts, and he himself does not contribute to it. He displays no judgment and has no filters; he just says and does whatever he wants. Does anyone really think he cares about the poor and the middle class?
He will not make this country safer by antagonizing allies and Muslims. He will not make our streets safer by opposing reasonable gun safety laws like universal background checks.
He is a showman who knows "there's a sucker born every minute." He is playing to the masses for his own aggrandizement. He is dangerous because his instinct and his forte is to renege on duties, not uphold his part of the bargain, and he mercilessly attacks anyone who does not please him.
I'm with Hillary.
