Trump is unfit for reality

Hillary Clinton states that Donald Trump is unfit to be president. The Donald, in his thoughtful, well reasoned fashion, responds, "No, you're unfit." Are we to be treated to the playground chant, "I am rubber, you are glue. What bounces off me, sticks to you," as campaign rhetoric ("Election 2016: Who's scarier?" July 26)?

We are somehow living in the land of Oz. Instead of hiding behind a curtain, this "wizard" hides behind his self-styled reputation as a business man second to none and his boundless ego. He is certain that whatever he says will be believed by all no matter how outlandish, even if it contradicts something that he said yesterday.

Despite what some folks seem to think, this is not a game show where you pick the winner and get a prize. The winner of this contest will be the president of the United States and will represent our country throughout the world. Mr. Trump is currently not only at war with the Democrats, he is at war with his own party, Gold Star parents, Mexicans, women and any other group that would dare to criticize him for whatever reason. This does not bode well if one is to be our commander-in-chief.

For most people, the choice should be clear. There is nothing about this candidate that indicates stability, and who wants an unstable president? For Republicans, this is a time when you have to put the love of your country ahead of the love of your party. Let Mr. Trump go back to TV where he belongs and where he most likely can't start a nuclear war.
