Sorting facts from allegations

Let's pause for a moment and remove our partisan feelings regarding President Donald Trump and now citizen Hillary Clinton. Unless we, as readers, see the specific names of a leakers of government information, let's use the term, "alleged," or if the leaker is known and the fact can be validated, then let's apply the term, "fact."

It is alleged that President Trump asked FBI Director James Comey to drop the Michael Flynn investigation, and we have to apply the same to former President Bill Clinton meeting then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch on an tarmac, perhaps to ask her to drop the investigation of his wife.

It is alleged that President Trump discussed election issues with Russians prior to election and then we must see as fact that Donna Brazile tampered with debate questions by providing Ms. Clinton an edge in the Democratic primary debates.

It is fact that General Flynn spoke with a Russian diplomat to discuss a new tone on Jan. 20 in the Trump White House. It is both fact and allegation that Secretary Clinton met with foreign leaders as an official of the U.S. government to enhance the coffers of the Clinton Foundation. We will always be in doubt unless the press can check for deposits to the foundation.
