Women of the world unite behind Trump

Donald Trump's "nemesis?" ("The Donald's nemesis," Aug. 10). Not so fast!

I'm a woman and I think Mr. Trump is great. He's cut through our national disease of political correctness and says stuff most of us would be afraid to utter even though we'd love to. Unlike most Trump watchers, I've read all his books, and I was thoroughly impressed. His advice was brusque, to the point and very useful.

I watched most of the GOP debate last week and thought Megyn Kelly came across as angry and unable to take a joke. She apparently takes Mr. Trump's appraisal of women personally. I couldn't care less about my rating on the Trump-ometer.

Moreover, Ms. Kelly is the epitome of today's "news blond." Even pithy New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd pointed out that "Fox News is a daily Miss Universe pageant, chockablock with glossy beauties as anchors and reporters."

As for Mr. Trump's remark about "blood coming out of her eyes or her whatever," to which I concurred based on Ms. Kelly's angry questioning, I found nothing in the comment relating to a woman's "monthly visit" (euphemism intended). Only a sick-o would imply it did.

Mr. Trump is the best thing to land center stage in today's wishy-washy political panderfest. As for his appraisal of immigrants, someone should point out that two of his wives — Ivana Marie Zelní¿ková Trump and Melania Knauss — were and are immigrants.

Incidentally, I appreciated learning Ms. Kelly was once a high school cheerleader. Now I know where her pom-pom questioning originated. Message to all women: Lay off The Donald!
