Shame on you for wasting space in your newspaper with Julie Scharper's "Trump banished the baby, humiliated the mother" article (Aug. 3).
One can slant a story to go any way one wants, and since you are such a biased newspaper, you chose to print this and make Donald Trump look bad for asking the baby to leave. Yes, the person with the baby was a supporter, and no, she probably will not be shamed and scarred for life. A loyal fan should have taken her baby out, so as not to disturb such an important event, and not to distract Mr. Trump's thoughts, and to make sure all of the people there could hear what Mr. Trump was saying.
I have spoken at seminars for the last 12 years at The Taj Mahal in Atlantic City and other major hotels, and "believe me," there is enough to be thinking about when speaking, than to be annoyed by a crying baby.
And by the way, this is first-hand information and not hearsay — all of the employees, down to the kitchen help, admire and respect Donald Trump for his work ethic, his smarts, his fairness and friendliness, and the way he treats his employees — no matter what their status is. People should know that side of him, as opposed to the way Ms. Scharper chose to portray this wonderful man.
