Thank you, Baltimore Sun, for catching the piece of legislative mischief which, by rider, attempted to add a provision for a selfish and unsafe authorization of legally extended operating ours for drivers of large trucks ("Give drivers a break," May 9).
This issue of riders tacked onto otherwise acceptable legislation begs the question as to who was the sponsor of the rider. If The Sun shines on such legislators by name, perhaps there might be less such rider practice.
