Dan Rodricks makes a good argument for the danger in "stand your ground" laws ("What we all lose with 'stand your ground,'" July 16). But the one question not asked and answered to my satisfaction is why does stand your ground not apply to Trayvon Martin? Did he not stand his ground? And what did he get for that? A bullet.
Stand your ground laws will only allow legal warfare to take place on our streets. And it should not be part of a civilized society.
