Can Baltimore's utilities handle all this development?

Has anyone at City Hall ever realized that the possibility exists that our "take for granted utilities" aren't capable of supporting all these ever increasing projects ("Developer presents designs for Stadium Square apartments," March 11)? Common sense says we are already or near being maxed out with the supply of the necessary water, gas, electricity and sewerage systems to keep these places viable. Examples include Harbor East, the Horeseshoe Casino, the avalanche of high-rise apartment buildings, etc. An in-depth analysis of the "utility factor" should be foremost before allowing any new building project or projects.
