As an American, I'm outraged any foreign leader would come here and tell us what to do. By turning Washington into a "campaign stump," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was offensive ("Netanyahu's speech," March 4). This is the United States of America, and we don't like being pushed around!
I'm not up to speed on Iran's nuclear ambitions, but I trust the State Department and our intelligence professionals. America's military intervention in the Middle East has not led to peace but only destabilization and extremist empowerment. Just look at the messes we've created in the region!
Let's not forget, Israel has a nuclear arsenal and plenty of weaponry. If they want to launch an attack on Iran, that's their choice — foolish as it might be. I'm sick and tired of the Neocons, now including Benjamin Netanyahu, beating the drum to get us into another war. We've already paid an enormous price in blood and treasure for absolutely nothing. Israel's prime minister needs to understand that!
