Kudos to City Councilwoman Rochelle "Rikki" Spector for voting for her constituents and not casting the "yes" vote a requested by Council President Bernard C. "Jack" Young on plastic bag ban ("City's law department says Young can't legally kick Spector off planning board," Jan. 6). I am proud to say that Ms. Spector has been my representative for over 18 years, and I hope she will run for re-election in 2016. She attends all community meetings, responds to all telephone calls and written requests. If she does not personally respond, a member of her staff does. Thank you for always looking out for your district and the City of Baltimore.
President Young, no one abstains as much as you do, since you have so many family members who work for the city. Maybe you should resign or consider not running for re-election.
