Thanks for giving Ron Smith a platform

I'd like to commend The Sun for its coverage of the life of Ron Smith, and for giving him an opportunity to share his views with us, despite the fact that his opinions and those of the paper were often at odds.

Although I'm a Baltimore resident, I'm not a regular Sun reader and like Ron, I often find myself at odds with the editorial board's point of view. Having the perspective to see the other side's viewpoint, even if you disagree with it to your core being, is the only way to maintain even the slightest semblance of balance in this crazy world.

This was a point that was clear to Ron, and one that many of his readers and listeners, myself included, try to embody. Despite our collective differences, we still share these streets together, we still have the Ravens, and as long as we're still breathing, there's still a little time left to be reasonable.

We miss you, Ron.
