Freddie Grey's best friend shot to death, and an up-and-coming rapper is shot and killed ("Killing leads to call for an end to violence in Baltimore," June 27).
Each day, other young men and children are lost to the constant violence in the city, and the only reaction is, "Well, it's Baltimore." There are lots of protests when the police are involved with possible action with citizens but except for the Million Man March, not much else.
There's no real help from the public which only justifies the thought that, "Well, it's Baltimore" and no one cares. Sad, sad, sad!
