I found David Zurawik's piece on Hillary Clinton and how she comes across on TV ("Clinton's TV problem persists," July 31), to be highly inaccurate, offensive, and sexist. He cited two female politicians as having "on-screen consistency" — Margaret Thatcher and Sen. Barbara Mikulski. The other women he named are TV personalities.
Faulting Ms. Clinton for her hair styles and her wardrobe tips his hand at what he asserts is non-sexist. Unlike men, who vary their look by wearing different color ties with their suits, women are criticized or praised for what they wear and how they look — hairstyles and body shapes included.
