The Western Shore has its share of cleaning up to do, too.

It is ironic that Dan Rodricks' column on chicken manure (a topic of which he appears to be well versed and writes as if he is an expert) lambasting Gov. Larry Hogan for rolling back former Gov. Martin O'Malley's phosphorous rules ("Hogan misses Republican dad's lesson on pollution," Jan. 27) ran on the same day that The Sun reported a 46,000 gallon sewer leak into the Gywnns Falls. This is only 10 days after 19,000 gallons were dumped into the same waterway.

This is not "run off" but 100 percent pure pollution. Rumor has it that nary a feather was found in the spillage.

I suggest that Mr. Rodricks takes care of "his side of the street" before he criticizes and critiques what is happening on ours.
