Neither Cummings nor Bryant understands the 7th District's needs

Both "Representative" Elijah Cummings and the Rev. Jamal Bryant should take note that the 7th Congressional District comprises not just Baltimore City, owing to the heavy handed gerrymandering of the O'Malley administration and its predecessors ("Baltimore pastor Jamal Bryant will run for Congress," Sept. 15). To "argue the city needs new leadership in Washington" says it all about how they view the rest of the electorate in the 7th District. As someone in Baltimore County who feels taxed without representation, new leadership is needed to represent the interests of the entire 7th District, not just Baltimore City. As a side note, it is highly doubtful a career politician like Mr. Cummings would give up his safe seat and power position especially in view of the current strong candidates running for Sen. Barbara Mikulski's seat.
