Start school later to save on air conditioning

Since the warm weather requiring air conditioning only lasts two or three weeks in September, why not start school in mid September as we used to, and the heat problem would be solved ("Baltimore County parents hot over lack of air conditioning in schools," Sept. 8).

If school goes to mid June, the weather should be reasonable. Presto, the problem has disappeared and we don't have to spend a penny.
