Your article about the Republican primary completely missed the point in describing how poorly Sen. Marco Rubio is faring in the presidential race ("Some supporters of Rubio say bad strategy, poorly run campaign killing his chances," March 6).
Mr. Rubio has no substance and is totally ill-informed on the issues. He can barely handle his own finances, much less run a country of 300 million people.
However, he is the dream candidate of billionaire donors Norman Braman, Paul Singer and Sheldon Adelson, all of whom know that they can easily manipulate Mr. Rubio into their pro-Israel foreign policy, including possibly starting a war in Iran.
The same neoconservatives who helped promote the disastrous Iraq war — Charles Krauthammer, Bill Kristol, David Brooks and Joseph Lieberman — are closely tied to Israel's right-wing Likud Party and its warmongering Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
They are also behind Mr. Rubio and are already attacking Donald Trump, knowing that they won't be able to control Mr. Trump the same way that they can control Mr. Rubio.
The good news for the American people is that Mr. Rubio is close to dropping out of the race while Mr. Trump continues to lead the Republican primaries. We need a president who will put America's interests first, not Israel's.
