Sun's anti-Trump editorial crossed a line

Many things done by President Donald Trump — and some acts done by others on both sides — are distasteful and offensive. We changed our party affiliation solely to vote against President Trump in the GOP primary.

That said, persistent editorial sentiments like, "Congress has been gridlocked before, of course, but never with such an incompetent leader and crew in the White House," do no good but instead contribute to prejudice, hatred and division (“Government shutdowns are for losers,” Jan. 22).

Throughout our adult lives we have been daily cover-to-cover newspaper readers and exclusively of The Baltimore Sun for the past for 40 years. That ended today.
