Republican tax plan is a bunch of lies

This Trump administration has learned the staying power of "the big lie" exemplified by the tax bill passed by the Senate (“‘I don’t think it’s going to help’: In a pro-Trump area, many are skeptical of GOP tax plan,” Dec. 3). President Donald Trump's supposed base is abandoned by this legislation. There is nothing that enhances working and middle class long term interests. Even the president's contention the he does not personally benefit is untrue!

What makes this an even more laughable set of lies is that the party of "deficit hawks" has made long term national debt much worse. Why don't the Republican legislators care? Because they have already relied on a gullible and hopeful electorate and because many of them will be comfortably lobbying before the longer term effects occur. Once again, we see that the real constituents of the Republicans are the rich and the connected. The rest? Who cares?

The solution can be as near at hand as next November, but only if the electorate really checks out the small print and realizes that the poisonous big lies have an antidote.
