It really gets old, and not very helpful, when folks like Maggie Master blame all the ills of the inner city on "white supremacy" (“The tale of two Targets, a Baltimore segregation story,” Nov. 20). Most (if not all) white folks I know are not racists and just want to get along and live their lives the best they can. As far as I know, most city leaders are black and have been for years. Kevin Plank is doing wonders for the city — both in providing jobs but also in his charitable endeavors.

I think Ms. Master and Black Lives Matter need some new marketing direction to pull us together rather than tear us apart like those “race industrialists” Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Where is the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. when we need him?

We need to impress upon parents and kids in the inner city the importance of going to school and doing homework, having a good attitude and working hard.
