Mosby reelection plans just got derailed

A Baltimore judge has thrown out an election lawsuit against Thiru Vignarajah, clearing the way for the former deputy attorney general for Maryland to run for the city state’s attorney in June.

Judge Lawrence Fletcher-Hill threw out of court an election lawsuit trying to bar Thiru Vignarajah from running for Baltimore City state’s attorney against incumbent Marilyn Mosby. Another suit against another rival, Ivan Bates, continues (“Judge tosses lawsuit, clears way for attorney to challenge Mosby for city state’s attorney,” March 20).

The judge probably recognized that these suits were politically motivated and could not be sustained with the evidence presented. No doubt Ms. Mosby was not happy with the decision as she probably knows that the only way she could win the election, after totally botching her handling of the Baltimore riots was to run unopposed. Oh well, I guess it will be adios to Marilyn Mosby!
