Jane Carrigan and Rusty Vaughan helped organzie a local branch of the racial justice group called "Coming to The Table" in Annapolis. (Lloyd Fox, Baltimore Sun video)

I frequently read but seldom agree with E. R. Shipp's opinion pieces occasionally published in The Baltimore Sun. Her latest, "Race incident avalanche" (Feb. 20), however, is one of the more well-reasoned, insightful, welcome pieces of thought-leadership I have encountered on any topic in any publication in quite some time.

Ms. Shipp's essay needs to reach a wider audience.
