Can’t people disagree without being labeled racist?

It’s come to this: You are black I am white. I disagree with what you are saying so I am a racist. Hogwash! (“House vote condemning Trump’s ‘go back’ tweets draws 4 GOP votes, 1 independent,” July 17.)

We ought to be able to agree to disagree without bringing race, sex or sexual orientation into the conversation. That seems to be what’s happening today. As of today, therefore, you are either a bigot, racist, homophobic or xenophobic or some other “obic.” It has to stop.
