Mayor Catherine Pugh should buy back Healthy Holly books bought by the University of Maryland Medical System as she served on the board that now sit in storage.

Mayor Pugh Catherine Pugh has said: "It has been an honor to have been associated with the important work of the UMMS board, but the fact is, I have many other pressing concerns that require my full attention, energy and efforts."

Her new focus is understandable, but her most pressing concern should be to make amends for her scamming the people of Baltimore and the patients and health care providers of the University of Maryland Medical System (“What Baltimore still needs to know about UMMS' deals with board members, particularly mayor's books,” Mar. 19). I suggest that she purchase the 8,700 “Healthy Holly” books that are sitting in Baltimore school warehouses for $11.49 each, restoring the $100,000 to the medical system that she gained unethically, and then distribute the books to any school systems in Maryland that might want them.
