Your editorial on Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby’s decision not to prosecute anyone for possession of marijuana disregards the facts (“Mosby policy not to prosecute will take racial discrimination out of marijuana enforcement,” Jan. 31).
Marijuana is a proven "gateway drug" for heroin. Baltimore is known to be the heroin capital of the United States and heroin now laced with fentanyl is killing more people than guns or car accidents.
Ms. Mosby's policy, if implemented, will ensure more blacks in Baltimore will die from overdoses this year and succeeding years than any previous ones.
Conclusion? This appears to me to be government-sanctioned genocide.
