How much pot is too much pot in Baltimore?

Dwight Chinyee, 30, of Winston-Salem, N.C., was charged Feb. 5 with importing marijuana and possession with intent to distribute, according to court records. Police allegedly found about 16 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his vehicle after he was pulled over for a traffic violation, his attorney Tony Garcia said Thursday.

I had to laugh at the situation of the young gentleman from North Carolina with 16 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his car (“North Carolina man caught in confusion over pot arrests in Baltimore,” March 11).

Who has 16 pounds of pot for their own use? How much does this guy smoke? How much is too much, Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby? What do you need as proof of distribution? What was this guy doing with 16 pounds of pot?

I think this makes Ms. Mosby the laughingstock of prosecutors for passing judgments about arrests without thinking it through. How much is too much or doesn’t she have a clue?
