I can sleep well at night now that the Baltimore City Council has begun hearings on the banning of plastic bags (“Paper or plastic? Baltimore City Council weighs pros and cons of cutting that choice in half,” Aug. 6).
Maybe the next time they convene they can take on more mundane issues such as being the most violent city in the United States, a crumbling infrastructure (Howard and Pratt Streets being the latest example) and an underperforming public school system.
