Reaching out to end ignorance of Islam

Despite diversity being a hallmark of our nation, the majority of Americans have never met a Muslim, according to research conducted by the Pew Polling Center. To combat this staggering fact, hundreds of Muslims hit the streets through America's 70 chapters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association with signs that read, "I am a Muslim, ask me anything." My experience at the Baltimore Harbor was varied — some praises, some constructive dialogue, and some indifference. Overall, our success came from wanting to deliver Islam's true message: peace.
