Lt. Brian Rice, the highest-ranking officer in the Freddie Gray case, faces about 10 administrative charges in the hearing that starts Monday. He ordered, participated in and oversaw parts of Freddie Gray’s arrest.

A little less than three years ago, Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, in all her ineptness and incompetence, aggressively charged six Baltimore police officers for their involvement in Freddie Gray’s death (“Freddie Gray case: Baltimore Police Lt. Brian Rice cleared of all administrative charges,” Nov. 17).

The next thing you know, instead of working on proving her case, she is jet setting all over the country for interviews and photo ops. Well, we all know what happened next: No convictions and no apologies.

All that being said, it really nauseated me to see her standing next to Police Commissioner Kevin Davis during his press conference regarding the homicide detective shot Wednesday night.

Talk about trying to stay relevant! She should not be in the spotlight promising justice for whatever her flavor of the week is, because we all know how that worked out for her last time. If she wants to stay relevant, she needs results, not photo ops.
