Democratic challenger Ben Jealous and Republican Gov. Larry Hogan debate the lack of a mass transit system in Baltimore.
The recent gubernatorial debate showed why Ben Jealous should never be governor of Maryland (“Jealous got more out of the debate than Hogan — but is it enough?” Sept. 24). Mr. Jealous has no idea about the accomplishments made over the last four years. He has no idea of how money is distributed and disbursed by the local school systems.
Mr. Jealous attempted to tie Gov. Larry Hogan to the Trump administration and Education Secretary Betsy Devos, but he fails to realize governors need to make nice with the federal education secretary to secure money for the state school systems. Basically, he is clueless about how to run a state and embarrassed himself on television. Mr. Jealous lacked the command of the actual details and figures accomplished by Governor Hogan these past four years.
I am not sure he is even qualified to once again run the NAACP.
