Hogan and Franchot are not bullies - they support better schools

Governor Hogan tours Dulaney High School as one of his many stops around Baltimore County. (Amy Davis, Baltimore Sun video)

Politics are the only reason schools get properly renovated or rebuilt. And politics can blow off any help to a school in need. Look how the Baltimore County Council is attempting to cease a desperately needed new school for Dulaney High (“Baltimore County Council opposes building new Dulaney High School,” Feb. 13). Some of the council is playing political football with student safety and opportunities.

I fail to see how Comptroller Peter Franchot, a Democrat, and Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican, are the bullies of the Board of Public Works. They are putting school construction first. That means safer schools that offer 21st century learning experiences. I appreciate the “bully” who fights for that.
