GOP ignores North Carolina election fraud

For years, the Republican Party has shamelessly and shamefully used the fiction of voter fraud as a means to suppress and nullify the votes of minority citizens. The Republicans never have any evidence of their allegations because there is none.

At last, we have some real evidence of election fraud, but it does not involve armies of minority citizens voting illegally. No, it involves a Republican candidate in North Carolina hiring a shady political operative to collect thousands of ballots illegally (“North Carolina House candidate’s son, a federal prosecutor, repeatedly warned dad about election tactics,” Feb. 21).

My first thought was to characterize this as ironic, but there is nothing ironic about hypocrisy in the Republican Party, it is central to their way of being.
