The govenor’s objection to the Kirwan Commission (“Md. governor must engage with education commission if he hopes to influence it,” Oct. 31) reminds me of a different view from Sen. Paul Sarbanes on adequately funding education: “If one thinks the cost of education is high, consider the cost of ignorance .”
