Wow, I can't believe The Sun's editorial staff is taking a stand against sweetheart pension deals in Baltimore County ("Another chance for Kamenetz to do the right — and politically expedient — thing," Aug. 2). After all, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and his partners in crime are all Democrats who are supposed to worry more about the working person but as we all know care more about their bank accounts, especially since it is at the expense of somebody else.
I guess it pays to labeled as a "civil servant." I commend Councilwoman Vicki Almond, but if her legislation to eliminate these boondoggles goes anywhere, I will be shocked. I recall this was a similar stunt to what that other crook, Parris Glendening, was trying to do when he left Prince George's County. I also think it's time for the editorial board of The Sun to concentrate more on the shenanigans of these local politicians then on what's going on in D.C.
