Benefits from a corporate tax cut? Don't hold your breath

Think corporations are going to share their tax windfall with you? Think again.

Anyone who believes that big businesses will share any tax windfalls are kidding themselves (“Now that the GOP has passed its tax bill, Americans get to find out what's in it (Spoiler alert: It's not good),” Dec. 20). First will come bigger cars, bigger houses, bigger boats and planes for the CEO of the company. Next may come increases for shareholders. The idea that these companies will hire more people and increase wages has long since been shown to be be a pipe dream. Of course the president will announce examples of companies that will give immediate raises but not those who do not hire more, do not give increases or do anything for the workers they already have.

A “middle class tax cut!” I think not; but certainly a windfall for the president, his children, and their vast holdings.
