Many thanks to Sedrick Smith of Baltimore City College and The Baltimore Sun for providing a healthy perspective on the work accomplished in Baltimore City middle schools. ("Quality abounds in Baltimore schools,” Dec. 12).
When I finished reading the piece, I could not help but wonder how much more could be achieved were legislators in Annapolis willing to fulfill their promise to adequately fund the city's school system.
