Thank you, Baltimore Sun. Your editorial, “The slow, imperfect, essential work of Ceasefire” (Feb. 4), was right on target. The subculture of deadly violence that is well entrenched in the city is not likely to be swayed by anything short of a hail of bullets, but the decent people around them can still be a positive influence.
There has to be hope that even the lowest of the low can see that violence is not the answer to turning Baltimore around and making it thrive again for everyone. More power to the Ceasefire people who represent what is good in the city in spite of great adversity.
