I can assure the readers that Sen. Jim Brochin is creating opportunities rather than being an opportunist as Pat Murray suggests in "A political conversion for Jim Brochin" (Nov. 2). I admire Senator Brochin's willingness to avoid political parties and the rigid ideas; rather, he's advocating for all people. He's preserving our land, protecting the communities, providing a less congested way of life and proving his tireless commitment to Baltimore County Public Schools.
Personally, I have witnessed his tireless involvement in maintaining, fully renovating and building new schools. In addition, Mr. Brochin has a commitment to all students whether college bound, seeking a trade, displaying high-risk behavior or by simply opening his office to student internships. Mr. Brochin's efforts are not stapled to a political party but focused on a better Baltimore County for all. Continue your research, then consider Jim Brochin as your next Baltimore County Executive.
