Armed teachers look like potential targets

President Donald Trump on Thursday appeared to voice support for raising the age at which someone could buy an assault rifle to 21, and he doubled down on his idea of arming some teachers as a deterrent for school shootings.

I recently noticed that some elected officials support the carrying of firearms by teachers and parishioners (“Trump offers mass shooting response plan, says armed teachers would solve problem ‘instantly,’” Feb. 22).

After a reported shooting, when the police arrive they're looking for a shooter. My question is: Whom do the police shoot?
