I was delighted to read that Baltimore high school students will soon be able to enroll in AP classes (“Thousands of Baltimore students have lacked access to Advanced Placement. That’s about to change," July 22).

This demonstrates the faith in our city youngsters’ scholastic abilities and gives them the same type of goal (and opportunity) that others have long been given.
