The death of Freddie Gray while in police custody was extremely sad. At the same time, however, allowing angry young protesters to break the law with impunity is ludicrous to say the least ("Baltimore descends into chaos, violence, looting," April 28).
If local officials stand by and do nothing, chaos is exactly what we'll get. The police looked like fools.
Shooting the protesters with plastic Airsoft pellets would have broken the disturbance up and ended many issues.
Life is not fair, and questions need answers. But order must be enforced.
It's very evident who was in control in Baltimore this week, and it was definitely not the police.
