Christianity and freedom

I am sorry Thomas Jandl of Towson feels stifled by the Judeo-Christian principles America was founded upon ("Conservatism's contradictions," March 25).

Mr. Thomas' right to express his opinion is guaranteed only by 45 words in a far more recent document spelling out four primal freedoms — freedom of speech being one of those four, and an all-volunteer military.

Perhaps Mr. Jandl would find Temucla, California more to his liking. Public School libraries there have been purged of books by Christian authors and "The Hiding Place," a Holocaust victim's biography.
