The Ravens and their fans are a class operation

I am fortunate enough to have a sister who lives in Parkville, so when the 49ers played in Baltimore on Thanksgiving, my 81-years-young brother flew in from San Antonio, Texas. I (64) came in from San Francisco.

From the time we boarded the game bus at the park and ride lot, the banter started. I was in full 49ers gear, yet I have never felt more comfortable (in the den of the opponent) at a sporting event. Everyone inside, around and outside of the arena was extremely professional and friendly. I'm an amputee, mobile but not the most agile. A police officer escorted us to the proper (shortest) route to get our seats.

The pregame patriotic theme and fan participation was moving. An emotional and proud experience for two Vietnam veterans.

If the 49ers ever get a new stadium, lessons can be learned in Baltimore.
