The day before your editorial about state Sen. Jamie Raskin appeared I read an erudite article by him in another publication explaining how our retirement accounts are bankrolling politicians without our knowledge ("Shining a light on government," Feb, 11).
I was so impressed with his explanation that I went online to learn who he was. Imagine my delight when I learned that he represents District 20 in Montgomery County.
Mr. Raskin brings an outstanding academic background and experience to the job. He actively addresses questions of importance to Marylanders, including capital punishment, energy policy and the environment, gun policy, hate crimes, marriage equality, etc. We're lucky to have him working for us.
