It didn't take long for The Sun to include race as a reason for Anthony Brown losing the governor's contest — it was the ninth paragraph ("Why Hogan won," Nov. 5).
I personally thought a lot of African-Americans decided to vote the American part of their name rather than the African part. Anybody that voted for Mr. Brown completely ignored his part — as an incompetent manager, despite his Harvard and Army training — in wasting $200 million as head of Maryland's health exchange.
Why no mention that Mr. Brown outspent Mr. Hogan by 4-to-1? If the nasty GOP had done that it would have been in the first paragraph with names of donors and PACs. Most of my friends were turned off by Mr. Brown's incessant anti-Hogan ads.
