Where are the third-party candidates in Md.'s governor's race?

I thought as voters we were entitled to see and hear from all of the candidates running for office. Yet in the current governor's race, others have decided for us that we need to hear only from Anthony Brown and Larry Hogan — but not the Libertarian Party candidate, Shawn Quinn.

As a Navy Veteran, I find this information tampering manipulative and unacceptable. We need to hear from all of the candidates so that we can make an informed and educated decision on who is best for the office. By excluding candidates from the debates that can't happen.

If a candidate were excluded because of sex, race, religion or sexual orientation it would not be tolerated. Why isn't it the same for third-party candidates?

Considering how our state is doing currently and viewing the most recent ads from Mr. Hogan and Mr. Brown, it would be refreshing to hear new ideas from someone else.

I find it unsettling that neither Mr. Brown nor Mr. Hogan has had the decency to stand up for our American values and insist that other legitimate candidates be included in the debates.

Their lack of action on this tells me more about their character and integrity than any ad they might put out.
