Rising health care rates threaten doctor-patient relationship

How ironic that health insurance rates are rising at the same time that electronic medical records are an increasing burden on doctors ("Marylanders face hefty rate increases for Obamacare,http://www.baltimoresun.com/health/bs-hs-insurance-rate-increases-20160909-story.html Sept. 12; "Electronic medical records hurt medicine," Sept. 8).

Cyrus Hamidi is correct that "the spirit of the patient-doctor relationship" is at the heart of the profession. But it certainly is not at the heart of rising rates that put profits ahead of patients.
