How ironic that health insurance rates are rising at the same time that electronic medical records are an increasing burden on doctors ("Marylanders face hefty rate increases for Obamacare,http://www.baltimoresun.com/health/bs-hs-insurance-rate-increases-20160909-story.html Sept. 12; "Electronic medical records hurt medicine," Sept. 8).
Cyrus Hamidi is correct that "the spirit of the patient-doctor relationship" is at the heart of the profession. But it certainly is not at the heart of rising rates that put profits ahead of patients.
